  • Visit truist.com/activate page
  • Enter the following info:
  • Card number
  • Expiration date from card
  • Security code
  • Zip code
  • Social security number
  • Click the gray Activate button

 

ACTIVATE YOUR TRUIST CARD BY PHONE

  • Call customer service at the toll-free number below and go through the automated prompts for card activation:

ACTIVATE YOUR TRUIST CARD IN PERSON

  • Visit your nearest Truist branch to easily activate your Truist Card in person. Talk to a bank teller inside about activating your card.

 

HOW TO CREATE A TRUIST CARD ACCOUNT

  • The next step is to create an online account so you can manage your debit or credit card transactions after activating your new Truist card. The way to do that is as follows:

 

  • Visit the site at truist.com/activate.
  • In the top right corner of the screen, click the Sign In button.
  • Press the Register Now button.
  • Choose whether you want to register a personal or business account.
  • Choose the sort of card or account you want to register if you are registering a personal account by browsing the options.
  • Then press the Continue button.
  • You must complete the remaining registration steps before you can generate your login information and security details.

 

HOW TO LOG IN TO YOUR TRUIST BANK ACCOUNT

  • On a computer, go to www.truist.com/activate and click “Sign in” in the top right corner to log in.
  • The Truist login page will then load. You can enter your user ID and password there.
  • You don’t have a user ID if you haven’t signed up for internet banking yet.
  • The second link at the bottom of the new window, after clicking “Sign in,” reads “Register now.”
  • To access the page where you can sign up for internet banking, click that link.
  • Make sure you have access to your debit card, ATM card, or account number.

  • If you at some point forget your User ID you can refer to the self-help troubleshooting links for assistance.

  • Click the Forgot User ID link
  • If you have a personal bank account select the personal option and be prepared to enter the following info:
  • Account or card number
  • Last 5 digits of your social security number
  • Zip code
  • Last name
  • Contact info
  • Click the Continue button

 

FORGOT PASSWORD HELP

  • If you forgot your password it will need to be reset so refer to the troubleshooting link

 

  • Visit the truist.com/activate page
  • Click the Sign In button at the top right of the page
  • Click the Reset Password link
  • Enter the following:
  • The email address associated with your account
  • Last 5 digits of your social security number, EIN, or ITIN
  • User ID
  • Click the Continue button
